2017 Wrath Syrah, San Saba Vinyard
While the impenetrable color would suggest a wine of epic power, this Syrah is surprisingly elegant and graceful. The aromatics include blackberry, leather, graphite and peppercorns. The palate is rich,
concentrated and structured thanks to the firm natural acidity and seamless tannins. As with its predecessors, the 2017 San Saba Syrah is a reflection of the minerally soils, strong afternoon winds and cool ambient temperatures of our estate vineyard. Certified Sustainable (SIP)

ABOUT THE WINERY
Wrath was started by Dr. Mark Lemmon over 45 years ago. Today the winery is owned by University of Texas at Dallas Archeologist Michael Thomas, and his mother Barbara Thomas Lemmon. The winery is located outside of Monterey, CA and is tucked up against the Santa Lucia Highlands benchland with Big Sur on the other side of the mountains. The winery produces site driven wines from their estate San Saba Vineyards and respected properties in the Santa Lucia Highlands. They use a sustainable farming program in the vineyards.
From Dallas, TX – The family was inspired to use the name ‘Wrath’ by a line in Led Zepplin’s “Going to California”.
