2019 Wrath EX Unoaked Chardonnay
The 2019 EX Chardonnay comes from the original 35-year old, own-rooted Clone 4 planted on our estate vineyard. It is fermented (primary only) and aged for 3 months in stainless steel. The resulting unoaked wine is bright and direct, yet deceptively rich. The nose has a subtle tropical note and flavors offer guava, banana and green apple. There is a noticeable but balanced acidity with a full mouthfeel.

ABOUT THE WINERY
Wrath was started by Dr. Mark Lemmon over 45 years ago. Today the winery is owned by University of Texas at Dallas Archeologist Michael Thomas, and his mother Barbara Thomas Lemmon. The winery is located outside of Monterey, CA and is tucked up against the Santa Lucia Highlands benchland with Big Sur on the other side of the mountains. The winery produces site driven wines from their estate San Saba Vineyards and respected properties in the Santa Lucia Highlands. They use a sustainable farming program in the vineyards.
From Dallas, TX – The family was inspired to use the name ‘Wrath’ by a line in Led Zepplin’s “Going to California”.
