2013 Groth Reserve Cab 1.5L

This wine is sourced from a unique block in the heart of the appellation and the producer’s 165-acre estate, rich in sedimentary rock fragments of quartz and fossils. It’s lush and soft on the palate, with leather, ripe red berry and cassis flavors. The tannins are strong and wrapped tenaciously around the fruit, requiring further time in the bottle; drink 2020–2028.

About the Winery
Representing the finest vintage lots from the Reserve blocks on our Oakville Estate, this wine is the pinnacle of our growing and winemaking efforts. When our family acquired our Oakville Estate in 1981, we knew it was a special property, one eminently suited to growing great Cabernet Sauvignon. It quickly became clear that certain Cabernet lots from the western edge of our property displayed unique, intriguing characteristics distinct enough to be bottled on their own.
