2019 Canvasback Red Mountain Cab
Tantalizing aromas of ripe strawberry, Bing cherry and grenadine leap from the glass, followed by suggestions of blueberry and huckleberry, as well as subtle oak tones of slivered almond and hazelnut. The saturated red fruit layers are echoed on the delightfully supple palate, where they mingle with dynamic flavors of red licorice, orange zest and candied grape, and darker hints of black plum, cocoa, berry pie and baking spices.

About the Winery
In 2011, Duckhorn Winery wanted to establish a presence in Washington State. After conducting extensive blind tastings between Napa Valley and Washington Cabernet Sauvignons, they became extremely excited about the quality and character of the wines from Washington State—in particular the exceptional Cabernet Sauvignons from Red Mountain. Working with legendary Washington vineyard manager Dick Boushey, we begin cultivating relationships with the growers who farm some of the appellation’s most esteemed vineyards.
